Biography

Evelyn Mae Finsterbush, 84, of 60 East Green Street, Mifflinburg, passed away peacefully at 6:25 on Saturday, March 6, 2010 a.m. at Kramm’s Healthcare, Milton.

Ms. Finsterbush was born in Limestone Township on August 21, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Annie Pearl (Roush) Finsterbush.

Evelyn attended the Switzer Run School and was a 1966 graduate of Empire Beauty School.

She was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.

Evelyn retired in 1993 from Finsterbush Beauty Salon, Mifflinburg; where she was a co-owner with her twin sister, Anna, for 25 years.

She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts and reading.

Evelyn is survived by a sister, Jean E. Beaton of Woodward and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers; Robert E. Finsterbush, Charles Finsterbush, Leon Finsterbush, George Finsterbush, Lawrence Finsterbush, five sisters; Miriam Camp, Blanche Valentine, Estella P. Maxfield, Lydia Camp, and her twin sister, Anna F. Finsterbush.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Schwartz-Adamo Funeral & Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, PA. A celebration of life service will be follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wayne S. Krell, Pastor of the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
