David L. Benfer, Sr.

David L. Benfer, Sr., 63, of Hartleton, entered into rest at 4:18 p.m., on Friday, July 2, 2010 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born on May 16, 1947, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Marlin Luther and Phyllis (Mull) Benfer.
David attended Mifflinburg Area Schools.
He owned and operated David L. Benfer Construction and was engaged in farming in western Union County.
Dave was a member of the Union County Sportsman’s Club, and Benfer-Miller Post # 957, American Legion, New Berlin.
He enjoyed working on the farm.
Surviving, are two sons and one daughter-in-law; Franklin P. and Aimee Benfer of Middleburg, David L. Benfer, Jr. of Hartleton, one daughter and son-in-law; Heather M. and Michael Stahl of Mifflinburg, 3 grandchildren; Sage Benfer, Jade Benfer, and Jessica Stahl, two brothers; Larry E. Benfer of Middleburg, Michael S. Benfer of Mifflinburg, two sisters; Deborah S. Wray of Lewisburg, and Greta Mae Benfer of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death a sister; Patricia Benfer.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
